My Neighbor Repainted My Car Pink, but I Had No Proof – Karma Struck Her the Very Next Day

For nearly a year, my neighbor Denise and I had been locked in an increasingly ugly feud.

Then one morning, she showed up at my front door in a bathrobe, shaking with fury and screaming that I had destroyed her property.

What she didn’t know was that the security cameras I had installed only days earlier were about to reveal something neither of us expected.

My name is Christine.

Before everything went bad, Denise and I weren’t friends, but we were perfectly civil neighbors.

We waved when we saw each other by the mailbox.

We made small talk about the weather.

Once, when a delivery driver accidentally left one of her packages on my porch, I walked it over to her without giving it a second thought.

Then her dog discovered my flower beds.

The first time, I assumed it was an accident.

I came home from work and found several flowers torn from the ground, dirt scattered across the walkway, and paw prints all through the mulch.

I knocked on Denise’s door.

“Hey, I think your dog got into my flower bed.”

She glanced toward my yard and shrugged.

“He’s a dog, Christine. Dogs dig.”

I waited for an apology.

It never came.

She acted as though I had complained about the weather.

So I cleaned everything up myself.

Then it happened again.

The second time, I was more irritated.

The third time, nearly an entire section of the garden was destroyed.

I had spent several weekends planting and maintaining those flowers.

Gardening was one of the few things I genuinely enjoyed doing around the house.

So I finally contacted the HOA.

I didn’t ask them to fine Denise.

I didn’t demand some huge punishment.

I simply wanted someone to remind her that her dog wasn’t allowed to destroy other people’s property.

Apparently, that was enough to make me her enemy.

A few days later, Denise confronted me outside.

“You reported me?”

“I reported your dog destroying my flowers.”

“You could’ve talked to me first.”

“I did. Twice.”

Her jaw tightened.

“You didn’t need to involve the HOA.”

“I wouldn’t have if the problem had stopped.”

She stared at me for a few seconds before walking back inside her house.

After that, everything changed.

Denise never admitted doing anything, but strange little incidents started happening.

My trash cans began falling over on collection day.

Almost every Thursday, I would place them neatly at the curb before leaving for work.

By the time I came home, at least one would be lying on its side.

Sometimes garbage was scattered across the street.

Sometimes the lid ended up underneath a parked car.

Once, I found coffee grounds all over my driveway.

I started tying my trash bags more securely.

It didn’t help.

Then my garden hose disappeared.

I searched everywhere.

The garage.

Behind the shed.

Around the side of the house.

For a moment, I even wondered if I had loaned it to someone and forgotten.

A week later, the hose mysteriously reappeared beside the outdoor faucet.

Cut cleanly in half.

I stood there holding both pieces and staring at Denise’s house.

Her blinds were closed.

I wanted to march over and confront her.

But I didn’t.

Because that had become the pattern.

Something happened.

I suspected Denise.

And I had absolutely no proof.

She seemed to know that.

Whenever we passed each other outside, she would smile at me.

Not a friendly smile.

It was the kind of look that made me feel as though she knew exactly what I was thinking and enjoyed the fact that I couldn’t prove any of it.

I considered installing security cameras.

But I kept putting it off.

Part of me wondered if I was becoming paranoid.
