Three years earlier, Matthew\u2019s mother had left the family.<\/p>\n

Alex had been working long hours at an auto-parts factory and struggling to manage everything alone.<\/p>\n

Then he met Veronica.<\/p>\n

She had a comfortable home.<\/p>\n

A daughter named Camila.<\/p>\n

A life that seemed organized and stable.<\/p>\n

Alex believed it would give Matthew the structure he needed.<\/p>\n
