He helped carry plates without being asked. When Patrick talked about the shelves he\u2019d built in the dining room, Aaron actually listened instead of pretending to care.<\/p>\n

When I set down the salad, Aaron pointed toward the basil.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlice told me you grow your own herbs.\u201d<\/p>\n

I looked at her.<\/p>\n
