Fear.<\/p>\n

Richard glanced toward the hallway.<\/p>\n

Then he said something that made my stomach drop.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone broke into your cabin twenty minutes ago.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey used a copied keycard.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHow would you possibly know that?\u201d<\/p>\n

Instead of answering immediately, he looked toward the photographs.<\/p>\n

That was when I noticed something I had overlooked.<\/p>\n

Several pictures included the same stranger.<\/p>\n

A man wearing a blue baseball cap.<\/p>\n

In one photograph, he stood behind me while passengers boarded.<\/p>\n

In another, he was sitting two tables away during breakfast.<\/p>\n

In a third, he appeared near the elevators while I waited alone.<\/p>\n

I pointed at him.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho is that?\u201d<\/p>\n

Richard hesitated.<\/p>\n

The alarm suddenly stopped.<\/p>\n

A voice came over the ship\u2019s speakers announcing that a security incident had been resolved and asking passengers to remain in public areas.<\/p>\n
