\u201cYou clean every single thing before your parents get home. If I see one cup left out at four in the morning, I\u2019m telling them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Noah smiled.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then the strangest party I had ever seen began.<\/p>\n

Teenagers arrived in groups of two and three.<\/p>\n

Almost nobody came by car.<\/p>\n

They walked.<\/p>\n

Some carried backpacks.<\/p>\n

Others brought grocery bags.<\/p>\n

But the situation was nothing like what I had imagined when I walked through the door.<\/p>\n
