I sat beside Jeffrey on the bed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI could never feel that way about you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd all this time, you were thinking the exact same thing about yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n

For a second, neither of us spoke.<\/p>\n

Then I laughed.<\/p>\n

It came out mixed with tears.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re idiots.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jeffrey\u2019s mouth twitched.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe really are.\u201d<\/p>\n
