Her eyes dropped.<\/p>\n

After our father died, Margaret had read the inheritance documents.<\/p>\n

Part of the estate was divided according to which daughter had children.<\/p>\n

Margaret had a family.<\/p>\n

I did not.<\/p>\n

If I remained unmarried and childless, her side benefited.<\/p>\n
