George laughed bitterly.<\/p>\n

Nancy placed one hand gently on her husband\u2019s shoulder.<\/p>\n

Pete covered it with his own but remained silent.<\/p>\n

Tears gathered in Nancy\u2019s eyes.<\/p>\n

She quickly turned away.<\/p>\n

Neither brother spoke again before we left.<\/p>\n
