I knew Clark extremely well.<\/p>\n

He had stood beside me at the funeral, praised Zane\u2019s loyalty, and promised to protect everything my husband had built.<\/p>\n

The following morning, I took Mara to the company office.<\/p>\n

Clark looked sympathetic when I entered.<\/p>\n
