Noah stood in the hallway behind me, gripping his backpack. He had just come home from school and saw everything.<\/p>\n

Now my husband\u2019s mistress had wiped away our son\u2019s room while we were gone.<\/p>\n

Instead, I photographed everything: the bare walls, the boxed-up toys, Madison\u2019s clothes, and the messages visible on her phone after she casually left it on the dresser.<\/p>\n

I called my sister, packed two suitcases, and collected Noah\u2019s important documents from the home office.<\/p>\n

Before leaving, I placed my wedding ring on Daniel\u2019s pillow beside the signed divorce petition my attorney had prepared months before.<\/p>\n

Then the front door opened.<\/p>\n
