Then Grandpa found old check records showing monthly payments of $3,850 to Northline Property Consulting.<\/p>\n

He had never hired that company.<\/p>\n

Business records identified Cole as its owner.<\/p>\n

Over eighteen months, nearly $70,000 had been transferred from Grandpa\u2019s account to Northline for supposed maintenance on rental properties he had sold years earlier.<\/p>\n

\u201cI trusted him,\u201d Grandpa whispered.<\/p>\n
