I understood why they had protected Elise\u2019s privacy.<\/p>\n

Daniel claimed he had been trying to protect everyone.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo,\u201d I replied. \u201cYou were trying to control the story.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nora wiped her tears.<\/p>\n
