When Daniel and Vanessa left to go shopping, I activated the small camera built into my handbag clasp and positioned it toward the living room.<\/p>\n

Then I drove Mom to the hospital under the excuse of collecting a prescription.<\/p>\n

A specialist documented her condition. A geriatric doctor confirmed that she was fully aware, mentally capable, and able to make her own decisions.<\/p>\n

A detective recorded her official statement.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, my team froze the remaining accounts and traced the money from the lake cabin into a shell company connected to Vanessa.<\/p>\n

The strongest evidence came directly from Daniel.<\/p>\n

Daniel laughed.<\/p>\n

The entire call was being recorded under the legal authorization Judge Mercer had approved.<\/p>\n

I returned to the house with Mom shortly before sunset.<\/p>\n

Daniel and Vanessa were standing near the entrance beside two packed suitcases.<\/p>\n

Daniel positioned himself in the doorway.<\/p>\n
