I nearly smiled.<\/p>\n

Caroline\u2019s face flushed. \u201cNathan, stop.\u201d<\/p>\n

He did not.<\/p>\n

Instead, he looked at her properly for the first time that evening, and something shifted in his expression.<\/p>\n

Disappointment.<\/p>\n
