\u201cIt is not a small thing to use me as free childcare without even asking.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only time you include me is when you need something.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her mouth opened, but I continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen was the last time you visited because you wanted to spend time with me? When did you last ask how I was feeling? When did any of you remember my birthday without being reminded?\u201d<\/p>\n

She had no answer.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou stopped treating me like family. You turned me into a service\u2014useful whenever you needed childcare, food, money, or help, but unimportant the rest of the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Robert\u2019s expression hardened.<\/p>\n
