My voice cracked.<\/p>\n

Marcus shifted in his chair.<\/p>\n

Then Mr. Charleston slid a thick folder across the desk toward Marcus.<\/p>\n

\u201cInside this folder are the unsealed adoption records, your father\u2019s birth certificate, and a DNA comparison Gloria arranged last spring using her own sample and a coffee cup Daniel left in her room.
