For four years, I convinced myself Tyler was simply private. I overlooked the deleted pictures, the strange introductions, and the way he always moved out of the shot. Then a stranger messaged me, and I understood I had not been protecting our relationship. I had been helping him keep it hidden.<\/strong><\/p>\n I knew something was wrong when my boyfriend begged me to remove a photo where only his shoulder could be seen.<\/p>\n \u201cKim, please,\u201d Tyler said, his voice tight. \u201cTake it down.\u201d<\/p>\n I looked from my phone to him. \u201cTyler, your shoulder is barely famous enough to ruin our lives.\u201d<\/p>\n He didn\u2019t smile.<\/p>\n That was what frightened me first.<\/p>\n We were driving back from a weekend trip. My stomach folded.<\/p>\n So I deleted it.<\/p>\n He relaxed almost instantly. His hand moved over to my knee.<\/p>\n \u201cThank you,\u201d he said. \u201cI just love what we have.
