Carson stepped a little closer, his posture softening.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t need anyone to explain the rest of it to me, and I should have been on your side much sooner, Selena,\u201d he said with regret.<\/p>\n

Tears gathered in her eyes, but she refused to let them fall.<\/p>\n
