When my ten-year-old son stepped up to the microphone at his school’s fall fair, I assumed he would show everyone the pumpkin cupcakes we’d made together.
Then I noticed my ex-husband’s girlfriend clutching his arm.
“Make him stop!” Annabelle whispered.
Nigel looked confused.
“He’s just showing pictures.”
But Annabelle seemed to realize what those pictures would expose before I did.
